Violin Teacher

Hermione attained the Licentiate and Associate of Trinity College London (LTCL & ATCL) Diploma for Violin Performance after achieving Distinctions for both the ABRSM Grade 8 Violin Practical and ABRSM Grade 8 in Music Theory. 

Prior, she studied under Singapore Lyric Opera’s violinist Guo Lan and is currently under the mentorship of Mr. Alexander Souptel, Professor of Violin at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and ex-concertmaster of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and internationally acclaimed Singaporean soloist, Siow Lee Chin.


Hermione was the Principal violinist of the NTU String Ensemble and was nominated several times by her school to perform as soloist for several notable events such as the NTU convocation ceremonies and Nanyang arts festival. Some highlights was her performances at Marina Bay Sands’ Theatres under Base Entertainment such as the Hans Zimmer vs John Williams concert conducted by Maestro Anthony Inglis and musicals such as the Phantom of the Opera. An avid performer, she was a finalist in several collegiate competitions, took part in national based celebration performance such as the Sing50 concert with the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra (MFO) led by pianist Lang Lang and under the baton of maestro Chan Tze Law. She was involved in a documentary on national television,  Project Symphony, an 8-part television documentary led by conductor Jason Lai aired on OKTO channel. 

Hermione also loves diversity in her musical path where she plays for charity such as with the Orchestra of the Music Makers for the SPH Gift of Music concert sponsored by the Singapore Press Holdings. Made appearances in movie directed by local Director Wee Li Lin, and formerly interned as a radio presenter with Mediacorp’s Symphony 924, Singapore’s only classical music station.
